In order for Stoneridge mall to do something regarding the lack of security for the customers at the mall, they are going to have  to be forced into providing better security and protections for all mall shoppers.

The quickest way to force that action is for the victims of the thugs that mug and felons that assault to engage a law firm. To bring litigation against the mall for damages, due to the unsafe and unsecure shopping conditions at Stoneridge  mall.

Litigation can also engage the merchants at the mall, because it is by the merchants actions in advertising and displaying merchandise that attract customers to their stores.

This retail activity cause the shoppers and customers to park their cars in unsecure parking lots while they shop in the merchants stores. In a manner of setting up the shoppers and customers, for possible mugging and  felony assault.

There are out of town thugs lying in wait for the shoppers to return to their cars in the parking lots of the mall. These out of town thugs are comfortable because they know there is no Stoneridge mall security to prevent their criminal activity.

Once the mall shopper exits the mall to return to their vehicle with their purchases they are easy targets for the thugs lying in wait for their next victim.

The thugs will physically beat the victim into submission, steal the victim's purse, steal the victim's purchases, and any other property the thugs can wrestle from the victim.

April 3, 2012, I posted a blog on Patch, "criminals from out of town are coming into Pleasanton looking for an easy score". I researched the police logs for that blog.

The numbers stated that 40% of all criminal activity in Pleasanton takes place at the Stoneridge mall.

That level of criminal activity at Stoneridge mall as compared to the rest of the Pleasanton community is extremely high. It has not suddenly excalated to that level (40%). It has been that way for ten years.

The severe level of criminal activity at Stoneridge mall in the last year has certainly escalated, to the current level of felony assault, and becoming common place. Shoppers are injured, property is stolen from victims in the mall parking lots.

This level of criminal activity is more severe then the property thefts from parked vehicles, (although that still occurs), the stolen ID's, the credit card and other fraud at the merchant stores. A More severe level then the criminal activity in earlier years.
