Tri-Valley Death Notices: Former Motorola Employee; Air Force Vet; 'Ultimate Mother'

Mary DeGrazia, 94, a resident of Danville, died in her sleep on Nov. 24. Described as the “ultimate mother,” she is survived by Anthony, her husband of 64 years. There will be a service for Mary at St. Isadore’s on Nov. 30 at 11 a.m.

Randall Lee Eicher, 73, a resident of Pleasanton, died on Nov. 15 after a battle with cancer. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Randall was born in Pennsylvania. He worked for the Federal Aviation Administration for 35 years. In addition to his four children and six grandchildren, he is survived by Lois, his wife of 55 years.

Friends and family of Mitsuko Allen are mourning the Livermore resident and great-grandmother, who died on Nov. 18 at the age of 78.

Leonard Eugene Pearson, 96, a resident of Livermore since 1997, died on Nov. 8. An Illinois native, Leonard was a pioneer in the field of electronic engineering and worked for Motorola for many years. During World War II he helped design devices that allowed pilots to use their radios without being overheard. He is survived by his wife Bettijane, their two children and three grandsons.

Tracy (Cady) Deane, 64, grew up in Danville before attending Stanford University. She died on Nov. 5 after a 12-year battle with breast cancer. There will be a memorial service at the Palos Verdes Golf Club at 1 p.m. on Dec. 6. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make donations to the City of Hope (note in the memo section of your check the Teresa Deane Memorial Fund).
