2 Men Arrested, Suspected of Terminix Burglaries

Anthony Torres, a former Terminix employee, and current Terminix employee, Nicholas Gil, were both arrested and booked on charges of burglary and conspiracy to commit burglary.

Information provided by Pleasanton Police—

Pleasanton Police Detectives arrested two suspects for a series of commercial burglaries occurring at the Terminix Pest Control Office located at 5860 W. Las Positas Blvd. in Pleasanton.

The investigation led to the identification of a former employee, Anthony Torres, 25, as the suspect. On Feb. 12, detectives executed a search and arrest warrant at Torres’ home in San Jose.

Evidence recovered  during the search warrant identified a current Terminix employee, Nicholas Gil, 27, of San Jose, as the second suspect and co-conspirator. Gil was arrested the same day after detectives located him  arriving at a service appointment.

The investigation led detectives to a storage unit in San Jose where over $15,000 of stolen commercial grade pesticides were recovered. Approximately $5000 worth of pesticides had already been sold on eBay.

The series of commercial burglaries spanned a period of nearly a year from March 2013 to January 2014. These crimes were reported to police on January 13, 2014.

Torres and Gil were booked at Santa Rita Jail in Dublin for burglary and conspiracy to commit burglary.
