Four of the businesses were closed during the operation

By Bay City News—

All businesses in Pleasanton were compliant with the law during an underage decoy operation attempting to target the sales of tobacco Friday, police said.

Plain-clothes officers accompanied underage decoys at 40 of the 44 businesses selling tobacco in the city, according to police.

All 40 were compliant with the law and did not sell cigarettes to the decoys. The other four businesses were not open during the sting, police said.

The operation was conducted in cooperation with the Alameda County Public Health Department.
