You're kiddng me right? I'm sorry to have heard that this man died from his job but he was only at that job for a few years. Not to mention that his family will more than likely be receiving life insurance and whatever is in his pension. If his wife dosen't work then she should start soon. I am also going to mention that I have a very heavy opinion on this whole bank account donation deal because I have gone through a similar occurence regarding my dad. He worked at his job almost 35 years and also died from his job. My mother got no compensation from life insurance or his pension. After his death, I dropped out of college and I worked 5 different jobs in order to support my mom and I, our house, and our vehicles...not to mention my incredibly lazy sister and her 2 young sons (my nephews) who live in a different state. Also, I hope his wife's family stays her family if she has any family; because let me tell you- the death of a family member can destroy families and it is such a shame.

So let's right a wrong with another wrong? If you don't want to donate to a family who lost their father, husband, son, etc., while selflessly working as a law enforcement officer, then don't. I respect the commitment this indivudual made in doing a job he knew could have led to the ultimate price, and will make a donation to honor his memory.
