Preschool Cited After 2-Year-Old Tied Up for Refusing to Nap

The Centerpointe Christian Church Preschool was issued a citation for a personal rights violation after a preliminary investigation conducted by the California Department of Social Services into allegations a teacher bound a 2-year-old girl's hands and feet with tape when the child refused to nap. The church staff responded to the incident in a statement by saying they were 'appalled and shocked' while the former preschool director says he had no knowledge of the incident. The teacher was identified by the state records as Angela Calcagno of Livermore who is now not allowed in any licensed child day care or residential facility. Graffiti Threat Puts Foothill High School on Alert


On Wednesday, Pleasanton police units patrolled Foothill High School and the surrounding areas, along with other Pleasanton schools, in response to a shooting threat written on the wall of a girls' bathroom. The graffiti was found, scrawled on the wall in one of the girls' bathrooms, at the high school on Tuesday. Find out what parents said about keeping their kids home from school. Preliminary numbers on the absences reported on Thursday were low and students on campus disagreed and responding by sending in photos of the empty campus. Updated numbers reported by the district show nearly half of Foothill's student body — about 1,000 teens — missed class on Thursday,

Wells Fargo Bank Robbed
 
A man robbed an undisclosed amount of cash from the Wells Fargo Bank on the 4700 block of Hopyard Road at about 11:10 a.m. on Tuesday, according to Pleasanton Police. The suspect is described as black, 30-40 years old, 5-foot-10 to 6-feet tall, 160-175 pounds, black hair, brown eyes, goatee and wearing a light colored long-sleeve shirt, blue or grey pants and sunglasses. He also spoke a Jamaican accent or something similar.

The 1st Hunan Chef Wong Restaurant Closing After 28 Years

The popular Chinese restaurant will be closing its doors at the end of the month due to a dispute over the rent with the landlords.
