Fight Leads to Stabbing at Redcoats Pub Parking Lot

The victim sustained a non-life threatening Injury during the altercation.

A man was stabbed in a fight at a Pleasanton bar early Saturday
morning, according to police.

A short time after 12:30 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to a report of a fight in the parking lot of the Redcoats Pub at 336 St. Mary's St., but were unable to locate a victim, police said.

About 8:10 a.m., a man with a stab wound to the back arrived at the emergency room at ValleyCare Medical Center in Pleasanton saying that he had been in a fight the previous night and had been stabbed.

The man was treated for a minor stab wound and released.

Police said the victim reported that he went to pick up his girlfriend from the Redcoats Pub after she told him a man at the bar was harassing her.

The victim arrived in the back of the bar and got into an altercation with the suspect, who then pulled out a knife and stabbed him once in the back, according to police.

The suspect fled the area and has not been located.

Police are investigating the episode, which they believe is an isolated incident.
