Firefighters will be standing — with empty boot in hand — at the corner of Santa Rita Road and West Las Positas Boulevard today from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
They'll be asking for passers-by to fill that boot with some love (or whatever cash you have on you) — all in the name of children with Muscular Dystrophy.
The donated money will go to families within the Tri-Valley, said Aaron Lacey, Fire Captain and MDA Coordinator for the .
Last year, the firefighters raised $5,000 in Livermore and Pleasanton.
The Livermore event has already happened, so those of you who missed it, today in Pleasanton is your chance.
