The fire occurred on Sunday.

Information from Livermore Pleasanton Fire—

On June 1, 2014 the LPFD responded to a reported vegetation Fire near Murrieta and Stanley Boulevards. Upon our arrival, the fire was burning in the creek area between the AM/PM gas station, and the apartments at 975 Murrieta Bl. The fire was burning in dense brush and trees, and on both sides of the creek. The advancing fire was threatening the apartment building at 975 Murrieta Bl.

This fire was larger than the capabilities of our initial attack force. A total of three alarms were requested to the scene. The fire was under control in 30 minutes. Crews remained on the scene throughout the night to ensure complete extinguishment.

The Livermore Police Department was requested to close Murrieta Boulevard during the active fire control phase of the fire. The cause of the fire is undetermined. LPFD resources were drawn down due to the greater alarm fire, and units from the Alameda County Fire Department provided station coverage and assistance with fire control.
