he apartment was the home of a man believed to have stolen a car from the Hayward BART station on Jan. 15 and then used it to rob a victim at the Fruitvale station later that day.

The suspect, 20-year-old John Henry Lee, was in custody at the time of the search, and authorities have not yet released specific details about what went wrong the day of Smith's shooting. None of the 5 BART officers had their camera's on. The camera's that were put in place due to the last BART police murder. I think it's time to keep BART police at BART and not off BART property.

Absolutely. And if a criminal runs off of BART property, they have to stop at the property line and let them go. That whole sworn peace officer status anywhere in the state deal is just over rated....
