McDonald's Robbed by Masked Gunman

The suspect used a revolver and took an undisclosed amount of cash, according to police officials.

A man wearing a white mask and gloves robbed the employees at the McDonald's on Santa Rita Road through the drive-through window early Wednesday morning, Pleasanton Police said.

Around 3 a.m., police say a man with a small caliber revolver climbed through the drive-through window and demanded cash from the safe after forcing the three employees inside into the office at the McDonald's located at 6800 Santa Rita Road in Pleasanton. The suspect ordered the employees into a freezer after taking an undisclosed amount of money.

According to a statement released by police, no was one hurt during the robbery and the employees were told to stay inside the freezer for 30 minutes. 

Police describe the suspect as possibly being Hispanic with a medium build. Police say he is about 5-feet-6-inches tall.

Coincidentally, a similar armed robbery took place at a Fremont McDonalds over the weekend. In that case, three robbers also forced the employees into a freezer, but police tracked the culprits down and arrested them.
