Motorcyclist Injured After Striking a Median on Hopyard Road

The Pleasanton Police Department is Investigating

A motorcyclist suffered extensive injuries after he apparently struck a median on Hopyard Road, according to the Pleasanton Police Department.

Officers responded to a solo motorcycle collision at 1:08 a.m. Sunday at the  intersection of Hopyard Road and Owens Drive. Officers said they found a 42-year-old man lying in the road. The motorcyclist was taken to Eden Hospital in Castro Valley. Police say his condition is unknown. 

A witness told police that the rider had been traveling northbound on Hopyard when he struck a raised median that divided the right turn lane from others. Police said the rider apparently lost control and was thrown from the motorcycle.
