Pleasanton Gas Station Clerk Robbed at Gunpoint

Man walked into Union 76 on First Street on Friday evening, waved a gun and demanded cash.

A man walked into the Union 76 gas station in the 4000 block of First Street around 8:10 p.m. Friday, waved a black semi-automatic handgun at the clerk and demanded cash.

After the clerk gave the man cash and cigarettes, the man ran toward Vineyard Avenue carrying a gray pinstriped backpack, Lt. Jim Knox said.

Officers checked the area for the suspect but were unable to find him.

  The suspect is described as a light-skinned man in his early 20s, 5’-7” to 5’-9” tall, 140 pounds, wearing a dark-colored long-sleeve shirt covered by a white T-shirt and dark basketball shorts with white stripes down the sides.

He was also wearing black shoes, white socks and a black beanie. The man’s face was covered with a black bandana. He also was wearing a thin gold chain on his neck, Knox said.
