Police and Fire Beat: Barbecue Fire and Burglaries

Sunday, March 6

• A commercial burglary was reported on the 2400 block of Stoneridge Mall Road at 10:20 a.m.

• A structure fire was reported on the 3900 block of Arrowwood Court at 3:05 p.m. A resident reported smelling and seeing smoke. No flames were seen. 

Saturday, March 5

• A theft was reported on the 2300 block of Stoneridge Mall Road at 4:37 p.m.

• A traffic collision was reported on westbound I-580 and Hopyard Road involving two vehicles at 12:01 p.m.
• Barbecue on fire: A structure fire was reported on the 600 block of Palomino Drive at 6:24 p.m. According to initial reports a barbecue was on fire and flames were visible. A garden hose was used to put out the fire.

Friday, March 4

• A traffic collision was reported on northbound I-680 at Bernal Avenue at 3:52 p.m.
• A traffic collision was reported on nothbound I-680 at Stoneridge Drive involving three vehicles at 3:35 p.m.
• An 18-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of petty theft at 2:42 p.m.

Thursday, March 3

• A 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of petty theft at 4 p.m. 

Tuesday, March 1

• A residential burglary was reported on the 4700 block of McHenry Gate Way at 7:40 a.m.
• A 53-year-old man was arrested and charged with public intoxication at 9:21 p.m. 
• A 21-year-old man was arrested and charged with a drug offense at 5:09 p.m.
• A 20-year-old man was arrested and charged with a drug offense at 2:18 p.m.
• A traffic collision was reported on southbound I-680 at the Stoneridge Road offramp involving a vehicle and a guard rail.

Monday, Feb. 28

• A residential burglary was reported at 2:14 p.m. on the 900 block of Kolln Street. Items reported taken include computer equipment and electronics.
• A 30-year-old man was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a weapon at 6:22 p.m.
