Police and Fire Beat: Cars Stolen and Homes Burglarized
A list of notable incidents from Dec. 19 to Dec. 25.
In the past holiday week, there were a number of homes and cars were burglarized. The most costly was a residential burglary Dec. 22 in which thousands of dollars worth of jewelry was reported missing from a home on Detjen Court. Two cars were reported stolen on Christmas Eve. - A vehicular burglary was reported on the 3700 block of Pimlico Drive at 10:06 a.m.

- A traffic crash involving three vehicles was reported on I-580 westbound near Tassajara Road at 1:58 p.m.
- A traffic crash was reported at the merge of I-580 eastbound and I-680 southbound at 3:38 p.m.
- Fraud was reported on the 6800 block of Santa Rita Road at 3:47 p.m.
Friday, Dec. 24
- A traffic crash involving a car and motorcycle was reported at the intersection of Santa Rita Road and Francisco Street at 11:37 a.m.
- A traffic crash was reported at the intersection of Norfolk Road and Pine Street at 1:01 p.m.
- A gray 2010 Toyota Prius was reported stolen from a parking lot behind Red Coats Bar on the 300 block of St. Mary Street at 2:25 p.m.
- A traffic crash in which a car went off the roadway and struck a tree was reported on I-580 eastbound near Foothill Road at 4:25 p.m. No injuries were reported.
- A maroon 1991 Jeep Cherokee was reported stolen from the front of a home on the 3000 block of Flora Court at 5:05 p.m.
- A traffic crash involving an overturned truck was reported at the merge of I-580 westbound and I-680 southbound at 10:01 p.m.

- A 26-year-old woman was arrested at 1:01 a.m. and charged with driving under the influence.
- A traffic crash was reported at the intersection of First and Ray streets at 2:09 p.m.
- A traffic crash involving a car and motorcycle was reported on I-580 westbound near Hacienda Drive at 2:19 p.m.
- A stove fire was reported in an apartment on the 4300 block of Railroad Avenue at 6:49 p.m. Firefighters contained the fire within 20 minutes.
- An oven fire was reported in an apartment at Gardens at Ironwood on the 3400 block of Cornerstone Court at 11:38 p.m.
Wednesday, Dec. 22
- A traffic crash involving three vehicles was reported at the merge of I-580 eastbound and I-680 northbound at 11:44 a.m.
- A residential burglary was reported on the 6200 block of Detjen Court at 11:59 a.m. Jewelry valued at $6,500 was reported stolen.
- A traffic crash was reported at the merge of I-580 eastbound and I-680 southbound at 1:32 p.m.
- A traffic crash was reported on I-680 northbound near Stoneridge Drive at 5:10 p.m.
- Vehicular burglary was reported in the southeast parking lot on the 1000 block of Stoneridge Mall Road at 6:29 p.m. More than $1,000 in stereo equipment was reported stolen.
Tuesday, Dec. 21
- Vehicular burglary was reported on the 4400 block of Addison Way at 6:03 a.m. Tools worth more than $500 were reported stolen.
- A traffic crash involving two vehicles was reported on I-680 southbound near Sunol Boulevard at 6:51 a.m.
- Vehicular burglary was reported on the 1700 block of Stoneridge Mall Road at 9:49 p.m.

Monday, Dec. 20
- A 23-year-old man was arrested at about 1:30 p.m. and charged with distributing lewd materials to an underage girl. For more information, read .
- A 22-year-old man was arrested at 2:57 a.m. and charged with public intoxication.
Sunday, Dec. 19
- A 31-year-old woman was arrested at 2:48 a.m. and charged with driving under the influence.
- A residential burglary was reported at Valley Plaza Apartments on the 4400 block of Valley Avenue at 1:11 p.m.
