Police and Fire Log: 4th of July Weekend
A list of notable incidents from the police and fire logs.
Reported crimes during this holiday weekend included thefts, driving under the influence and property damage. Reported incidents from the fire department log included traffic accidents, a structure fire and wasp stings.
July 1
- A traffic collision occurred on eastbound I-580, east of I-680 involving two vehicles, a white Toyota and a black Cadillac at 9:09 a.m.
- A traffic collision occurred on the 4400 block of Railroad Avenue involving two vehicles, a gray Ford and an unidentified vehicle at 1:58 p.m. No injuries were reported.
- A traffic collision occurred on Santa Rita Road and Sutter Gate Avenue involving three vehicles at 3:35 p.m.
- Auto burglary was reported on the 200 block of Birch Creek Drive at 8:18 a.m. Items taken included electronics, documents and sunglasses.
- Theft from an auto was reported on the 7800 block of Canyon Meadows Circle. Items taken included electronics.
- Assault and battery was reported on the 200 block of Birch Creek Drive at 12:44 a.m.
- Theft was reported on the 5700 block of West Las Positas Boulevard at 1:32 a.m.
- Damage to property was reported on the 7800 block of Canyon Meadows Circle at 05:42 a.m.
- A 57-year-old woman was arrested for assault and battery at 12:48 a.m.
- A 23-year-old woman was arrested for theft at 2:47 p.m.
July 2

- A traffic collision occurred on eastbound 580, west of I-680, involving three vehicles at 2:31 a.m. One occupant was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extracted.
- A traffic collision occurred on the 1900 block of Santa Rita Road, involving four cars at 12:22 p.m. One person reported a hand and leg injury.
- A traffic collision occurred on Bernal Avenue and Valley Avenue and Valley Avenue and Santa Rita Road at 3:52 p.m.
- Theft from a structure was reported on the 5300 block of Owens Court, items taken included jewelry and electronics
- Damage to property was reported on Main Street and Vervais Avenue at 4:38 a.m.
- The Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department were asked to assist at the Alameda County Fairgrounds after a number of people received wasp stings at around 9:30 p.m.
July 3
- A vehicle hit a pedestrian on West Neal Street and Main Street at 10:41 a.m.
- A traffic collision occurred on Neal Street and First Street at 10:21 a.m.
- A traffic collision occurred on eastbound I-580 and West Foothill Place at 5:29 p.m. There was a report of an overturned sports utility vehicle blocking the fast lane.
- A burglary was reported on the 5800 block of West Las Positas Boulevard
- An assault and battery was reported on the 1800 block of Santa Rita Road, at 1: 47 a.m.
- A theft was reported on the 300 block of Main Street at 10:48 a.m.
- A theft was reported on the 6000 block of Stoneridge Drive at 4:42 p.m.
July 4
- A traffic accident occurred on northbound I-680 and Stoneridge Drive involving one vehicle at 3:18 p.m. Two of occupants were able to get out of the vehicle, another one was still in the vehicle. There was a report of injury.
- A vehicle fire was reported on westbound I-580 and Hacienda Place at 6:27 p.m.
- A traffic collision occurred at Stanley Boulevard and Bernal Avenue at 7:17 p.m.
- A burglary at a residence was reported on the 3400 block of Andrew Drive at 7:27 p.m.
- A DUI was reported on Bernal Avenue and Oak Vista Way at 6:46 p.m.
- A 31-year-old man was arrested for driving under the influence at 7:16 p.m.
July 5
- A small mulch fire was reported on the 4300 block of Foothill Road at 10:57 a.m.
- A tree fire was reported on the 3800 block of Newton Way at 2:46 p.m.
- A flower bed fire was reported on the 6000 block of Via De Los Cerros at 15:25 p.m.
- A traffic accident involving a bicyclist was involved on Foothill Road and Golden Eagle Way at 3:26 p.m. The biker reportedly sustained a head injury.
- A trash fire was reported in Meadows Park at 5:01 p.m.
- A traffic accident was reported eastbound I-580 west of Portola involving four vehicles at 5:30 pm.
- A structure fire on the 3500 block of Pimlico Drive was reported at 6:00 p.m.
