Police and Fire Logs: Burglaries Hit Homes, Cars and Wal-Mart

A list of notable incidents from March 13 to March 20.

In the past week, Pleasanton police responded to burglaries to homes, cars and the Wal-Mart on Rosewood Drive.

Two residential burglaries were reported March 15.  In the burglary at Wal-Mart, about $1,000 worth in car batteries were reported missing.

Also, the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department responded to a small fire within a building on Main Street on March 13, but there were no major damage or injuries.

Sunday, March 13

  • A small fire was reported within a building on the 400 block of Main Street near Vision One Optometry at 10:20 a.m.
  • A traffic collision involving two vehicles was reported at the merge of I-580 eastbound and I-680 northbound at 12:54 p.m.
  • A traffic collision involving two vehicles was reported at the intersection of Rosewood and Owens drives at 2:19 p.m.
  • A 39-year-old man was arrested at 5:16 p.m. and charged with shoplifting.

 Monday, March 14

  • A collision involving a pickup striking a center divider was reported on the 11300 block of Dublin Canyon Road at Pleasant View Church at 8:31 a.m.
  • Theft was reported on the 700 block of Sylvaner Drive at 9:43 a.m.
  • Animal control was requested on the 300 block of Ewing Drive at 3:44 p.m.

Tuesday, March 15

  • A residential burglary was reported on the 3600 block of Andrews Drive at 12:12 p.m. Textbooks and a backpack were reported missing.
  • A collision involving an overturned vehicle was reported on the 6300 block of Stoneridge Mall Road at 4:31 p.m.
  • A residential burglary was reported on the 6800 block of Corte De Flores at 6:24 p.m.  A garage door reportedly was open.

Wednesday, March 16

  • A traffic collision was reported on I-680 northbound near Castlewood Drive at 2:43 a.m.
  • A 2003 white Dodge Durango was reported stolen from the 4800 block of Bernal Avenue at Civic Square Apartments at 7:35 a.m.
  • A 36-year-old man was arrested at 4:42 p.m.  He was charged with possession of paraphernalia. 

 Thursday, March 17

  • Vehicular burglary was reported on the 4900 block of Dolores Drive at 8:52 a.m. Car equipment, including a stereo, worth more than $500 was reported missing.
  • A 19-year-old man was arrested at 2:25 a.m. and charged with driving under the influence.
  • A 36-year-old man was arrested at 7:33 p.m. and charged with driving under the influence.

Friday, March 18

  • A 25-year-old man was arrested at 12:34 a.m. and charged with public intoxication.
  • A 24-year-old man was arrested at 1:26 a.m. and charged with driving under the influence.
  • A 48-year-old man was arrested at 11:55 p.m. and charged with vandalism.

Saturday, March 19

  • A commercial burglary was reported on the 4500 block of Rosewood Drive at Wal-Mart at 2:16 p.m.  Car batteries worth more than $1,000 were reported missing.
  • Battery was reported on the 4600 block of First Street at 7:49 p.m.
  • Vandalism was reported on the 1200 block of Quarry Lane at 9:31 p.m.

Sunday, March 20

  • Six men were arrested at 2:53 a.m.  A 22-year-old man was charged with public intoxication and being under the influence of a controlled substance.  The five other men, 42, 38, 26, 24 and 22, were charged with public intoxication.
  • A 26-year-old man was arrested at 3:36 a.m.  He was charged with domestic violence.
  • Vehicular burglary was reported on the 1000 block of Stoneridge Mall Road at 11:30 a.m.  Computer equipment and a black Sig Sauer handgun, worth more than $1,000, were reported missing.
