Police and Fire Logs: Car Burglaries Abound

A list of notable incidents from Nov. 21 to Nov. 27.

Pleasanton Police dealt with several car burglaries in the past week, including two reported within an hour of each other on Wednesday at Stoneridge Mall; door locks were punched in both burglaries. Car burglaries were also reported on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. In the Friday burglary, a car window was reportedly smashed.

Monday, Nov. 21

  • Theft was reported on the 3800 block of Stone Pointe Way at 8:48 a.m.
  • A 25-year-old man was arrested at 1:07 a.m. on suspicion of public intoxication.
  • Petty theft was reported on the 1300 block of Stoneridge Mall Road at 6:37 p.m.

Tuesday, Nov. 22

  • Petty theft was reported on the 5700 block of Owens Drive at 9:26 a.m.
  • Vandalism was reported on the 500 block of Main Street at 1:06 p.m.
  • A 23-year-old man was arrested at 3:02 p.m. on a warrant.

Wednesday, Nov. 23

  • A collision involving two bicycles was reported at the intersection of Montevino Drive and Victoria Meadow Court at 4:43 p.m.
  • A fire was reported on the exterior of a home on the 2200 block of Martin Avenue at 6:14 p.m.
  • Two Cars Burglarized:  Two vehicular burglaries were reported on the 1000 block of Stoneridge Mall Road on Wednesday evening.  In both reports, locks on the car doors were punched. One burglary was reported at 9:28 p.m. and the other at 8:49 p.m.

Thursday, Nov. 24

  • A vehicle fire related to a traffic collision was reported on the right shoulder of I-680 northbound near Stoneridge Drive at 3:44 p.m.
  • Theft from a vehicle was reported on the 7900 block of Sawgrass Court at 7:16 p.m.
  • Vehicular burglary was reported on the 7900 block of Spyglass Court at 9:20 p.m. A car window was reportedly smashed.

Friday, Nov. 25

  • Vehicular burglary was reported on the 2100 block of Inverness Court at 7:14 a.m.  A car window was reportedly smashed.
  • Theft from a vehicle was reported on the 4400 block of Fairlands Drive at 8:46 a.m.
  • A traffic collision involving a motorcycle was reported on I-580 eastbound near Hopyard Road at 10:49 a.m.
  • A traffic collision involving two vehicles was reported at the intersection of Hacienda Drive and Gibraltar Drive at 2:50 p.m.

Saturday, Nov. 26

  • Vehicular burglary was reported on the 4600 block of Carson Court at 1:33 p.m.
  • A traffic collision involving two vehicles was reported at the merge of I-580 eastbound and I-680 northbound at 5:27 p.m.
  • A vehicle fire was reported at Avalon Apartments on the 3600 block of Andrews Drive at 6:56 p.m.

Sunday, Nov. 27

  • A 24-year-old man was arrested at 1:21 a.m. on suspicion of public intoxication.
  • A traffic collision involving an overturned vehicle was reported on I-680 southbound near Sunol Boulevard at 3:40 a.m.
  • Vehicular burglary was reported on the 6700 block of Singletree Way at 12:04 p.m.
