Police and Fire Logs: Computer Monitors Gone in Commercial Burglary

A list of notable incidents from Nov. 14 to Nov. 20.

The most significant theft Pleasanton police dealt with last week was a Nov. 14 commercial burglary of on Hopyard Road.  Almost $3,000 in goods, including a 20-inch iMac, was reported stolen. Police also dealt with petty thefts throughout the week.

Also, a 1996 Honda Accord was reported stolen from Owens Drive on Thursday.

Monday, Nov. 14

  • Electronics Stolen in Burglary: Commercial burglary was reported at Patelco Corp Center on the 5000 block of Hopyard Road at 8:29 a.m.  Police believe that a pry tool was used on a rear door and an Apple 20-inch iMac and six black LED monitors, worth a total of almost $3,000, were reported stolen.
  • A traffic collision was reported at the intersection of Santa Rita Road and Pimlico Drive at 1:37 p.m.
  • Theft was reported on the 1900 block of Brooktree Way at 2:11 p.m.
  • A 31-year-old man was arrested at 3:22 p.m. on suspicion of petty theft.
  • A traffic collision was reported at the intersection of Santa Rita Road and Valley Avenue at 11:36 p.m.

Tuesday, Nov. 15

  • A traffic collision involving a motorcycle was reported on I-680 southbound near Stoneridge Drive at 6:36 a.m.
  • Petty theft was reported on the 4500 block of Rosewood Drive at 5:18 p.m.
  • A 52-year-old man was arrested at 5:19 p.m. on suspicion of public intoxication.

Wednesday, Nov. 16

  • Vandalism was reported at the intersection of Bernal Avenue and Tawny Drive at 12:57 p.m.
  • Vehicular burglary was reported on the 3200 block of Balmoral Court at 3:06 p.m.
  • A traffic collision involving several vehicles was reported on I-580 westbound near Hopyard Road at 5:58 p.m.
  • An 81-year-old man was arrested at 5:58 p.m. on suspicion of public intoxication.

Thursday, Nov. 17            

  • A traffic collision involving two vehicles was reported on I-680 southbound near Bernal Avenue at 7:52 a.m.
  • Residential burglary was reported on the 8000 block of Canyon Creek Circle at 4 p.m. Police believe that an unlocked bathroom window was the point of entry.
  • A pick-up truck’s engine was reportedly o n fire on I-580 eastbound near Hopyard Road at 5:37 p.m.
  • A white four-door 1996 Honda Accord was reported stolen on the 5800 block of Owens Drive at 7:32 p.m.

Friday, Nov. 18

  • Vandalism was reported on the 3700 block of Stoneridge Mall Road at 9:33 a.m.
  • A traffic collision involving several vehicles was reported on I-580 eastbound near Hacienda Drive at 11:14 a.m.
  • Petty theft was reported on the 1500 block of Stoneridge Mall Road at 3:09 p.m.
  • A 19-year-old man was arrested at 5:27 p.m. on suspicion of spousal abuse.

Saturday, Nov. 19

  • A 37-year-old man was arrested at 1:57 a.m. on suspicion of driving under the influence.
  • A 25-year-old man was arrested at 8:41 a.m. on suspicion of public intoxication.
  • Petty theft was reported on the 1700 block of Stoneridge Mall Road at 3 p.m.
  • Petty theft was reported on the 4500 block of Rosewood Drive at 5:48 p.m.

Sunday, Nov. 20

  • A traffic collision involving an overturned vehicle was reported at the intersection of Bernal Avenue and Foothill Road at 1:19 a.m. 
  • Public intoxication was reported on the 4100 block of Stanley Boulevard at 2:04 a.m.
