Police and Fire Logs: Construction Vehicle Stripped of Parts; Door Handles Missing at Foothill High

A list of notable incidents from May 2 to May 8.

In the past week, Pleasanton Police dealt with several small thefts, including one
on May 2 to a construction vehicle on Bernal Avenue. The vehicle was reportedly
stripped of parts valued at a total of more than $400. Also, Foothill High reported
handles to a cupboard and refrigerator missing.

Monday, May 2

  • A 29-year-old man was arrested at 3:57 a.m. on charges of public intoxication.
  • Construction Rig Stripped: Theft was reported on the 6700 block of Bernal Avenue at 2:15 p.m. Euro Tech Construction reported that yellow Caterpillar vehicle was stripped of parts, including washers, grommets, bolts, clamps and hoses. The parts were valued at more than $400 total.
  • A traffic collision involving two vehicles blocking the roadway was reported at the merge of I-580 eastbound and I-680 northbound at 5:12 p.m.
  • A 46-year-old man was arrested at 11:52 p.m. on charges of public intoxication.

Tuesday, May 3

  • A 45-year-old man was arrested at 9:04 a.m. on charges of driving under the
  • influence.
  • A traffic collision was reported at the intersection of Johnson Drive and Franklin Drive at 1:05 p.m.
  • A 26-year-old man was arrested at 4 p.m. on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Wednesday, May 4

  • A 41-year-old woman was arrested at 12:21 a.m. on charges of driving under the influence.
  • A 38-year-old man was arrested at 9:27 a.m. on charges of receiving stolen property.
  • A gas line was struck during construction at Civic Square Apartment on the 4800 block of Bernal Avenue at 7:32 p.m. The gas was shut off to the valve while repairs were made.
  • A 27-year-old man was arrested at 11:08 p.m. on charges of domestic violence.

Thursday, May 5

  • A 24-year-old man was arrested at 12:43 a.m. on charges of public intoxication.
  • Handles Missing at Foothill High School: A burglary was reported at Foothill High School on the 4300 block of Foothill Road at 2:10 p.m. Door handles of a stainless steel refrigerator and another to a wooden cupboard were reported broken off and missing. The handles were valued at $150 total.
  • A traffic collision involving a motorcycle was reported on I-580 eastbound near Santa Rita Road at 4:03 p.m.
  • An 18-year-old man was arrested at 4:58 p.m. on charges of public intoxication.

Friday, May 6

  • A 47-year-old man was arrested at 2:50 a.m. on charges of driving under the
  • influence.
  • A traffic collision involving a big rig and several vehicles was reported on I-580 eastbound near Hopyard Road at 4:39 p.m.
  • A traffic collision was reported at the intersection of Bernal Avenue and Koll Center Drive at 4:42 p.m.
  • A 32-year-old man was arrested at 7:36 p.m. on charges of driving under the influence.
  • A traffic collision involving a vehicle striking a power pole was reported at the intersection of Vineyard Avenue and First Street at 8:22 p.m.

Saturday, May 7

  • Burglary was reported on the 4500 block of Bernal Avenue at 5:06 p.m.
  • A 49-year-old man was arrested at 6:45 p.m. on charges of public intoxication.
  • A 28-year-old man was arrested at 11:12 p.m. on charges of public intoxication.

Sunday, May 8

  • A 21-year-old man was arrested at 12:48 p.m. on charges of driving under the
  • influence.
  • A 60-year-old man was arrested at 2:17 a.m. on charges of driving under the
  • influence.
  • Theft was reported on the 3700 block of Selvante Street at 4:03 a.m.
  • A 45-year-old man was arrested at 2:18 p.m. on charges of robbery and possession of drug paraphernalia.
