Police and Fire Logs: Two Burglaries on Koll Center Parkway, Electronics Stolen

A list of notable incidents from July 11 to July 18.

Electronics were the goods hit last week by several thefts, including two reported on the 7000 block of Koll Center Parkway on July 13.

In one of the two commercial burglaries, thousands of dollars worth of computer equipment was reported stolen; a leather bag was the only reported stolen item in the other burglary. Electronics were also stolen in other burglaries throughout the week, including one on July 11 at American General Life on Stoneridge Mall Road.

Pleasanton Police also reported arresting an 18-year-old man suspected of burglary on July 12. Other arrests included several over the weekend on charges of public intoxication.

Monday, July 11

  • A traffic collision was reported at the merge of I-580 eastbound and I-680 northbound at 12:52 p.m.
  • Theft was reported at American General Life on the 6100 block of Stoneridge Mall Road at 4:56 p.m. Two laptops worth a total of $4,100 were reported stolen.
  • Residential burglary was reported on the 800 block of Concord Street at 8:12 p.m. No losses were reported but the resident reported ransacking.

  • Teen Arrested:  An 18-year-old man suspected of residential burglary was arrested after a resident reported seeing him on the 800 block of Concord Street.  For more, click .
  • A traffic collision involving a bicycle was reported at the intersection of Main Street and Saint John Street at 11:43 a.m.
  • A traffic collision was reported at the intersection of West Las Positas Boulevard and Santa Rita Road at 1:54 p.m.
  • Theft was reported at Finn Design Group on the 5000 block of Hopyard Road at 5:26 p.m. A laptop, cash, credit cards and assorted electronic equipment worth more than $2,000 were reported stolen.

Wednesday, July 13

  • A traffic collision was reported on I-680 southbound near Stoneridge Drive at 9:51 a.m.
  • Two Burglaries Reported: Commercial burglary was reported on the 7000 block of Koll Center Parkway at 2:31 p.m. at two establishments. In Suite 265, a laptop, iPad and other electronic equipment worth more than $3,400 were reported stolen. In suite 100 at Deltatrak, a leather bag worth $100 was reported stolen.
  • A traffic collision involving two vehicles was reported at the merge of I-580 eastbound and I-680 northbound at 3:02 p.m.

Thursday, July 14

  • Former City Employee Charged:  A former city employee was charged with embezzling $3,100 from the city of Pleasanton.  For more, click .
  • A traffic collision was reported at the intersection of Valley Avenue and Danbury Park Drive at 7:58 a.m.
  • Theft was reported at Sensiba San Filippo on the 4900 block of Hopyard Road at 6 p.m. A purse, wallet and cash were reported stolen.

Friday, July 15

  • An employee reported smoke coming from vents at Hilton Hotel on the 7000 block of Johnson Drive at 4:21 a.m.  Firefighters traced the smoke to an electrical fire on the first floor.
  • A traffic collision involving two vehicles was reported at the intersection of Santa Rita Road and Mohr Avenue at 11:43 a.m.
  • A traffic collision involving an overturned vehicle was reported on the 6000 block of Stoneridge Mall Road at 4:40 p.m.
  • A traffic collision involving two vehicles was reported at the merge of I-580 eastbound and I-680 northbound at 5:34 p.m.
  • Burglary was reported on the 2600 block of Via Espada at 8:57 p.m.

Saturday, July 16

  • A 23-year-old man was arrested at 12:02 a.m. on charges of public intoxication and warrant-related charges.
  • Battery was reported on the 5800 block of Owens Drive at 12:17 a.m.
  • A 21-year-old man was arrested at 12:48 a.m. on charges of public intoxication.
  • A 20-year-old man was arrested at 1:05 a.m. on charges of public intoxication.
  • A 24-year-old man was arrested at 3:11 a.m. on charges of public intoxication.
  • Threats were reported on the 5400 block of Black Avenue at 11:06 a.m.

Sunday, July 17

  • A 21-year-old was arrested at 2:05 a.m. on charges of driving under the influence.
  • Vandalism was reported at the intersection of Valley Avenue and Stanley Boulevard at 6:39 a.m.
  • Petty theft was reported on the 5900 block of Stoneridge Mall Road at 9:25 a.m.
  • A 19-year-old man was arrested at 11:13 p.m. on charges of domestic violence.

Monday, July 18

  • A 25-year-old man was arrested at 1:52 a.m. on charges of public intoxication.
