Police Log: Away In A Cop Car

The Pleasanton Police Department  made numerous burglary and drug-related arrests this week — in neighborhoods, at the mall and at a high school — nabbing several suspects mid-crime.

Sunday, Dec. 11

• A 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence on the 3100 block of Bernal Avenue at 3:15 a.m.
• A 29-year-old man was arrested on suspected DUI charges at 4:31 a.m. on the 5200 block of Hopyard Road.
• A 20-year-old man was arrested on the 2200 block of Segundo Court at 11:24 a.m. on alleged charges of domestic battery, false imprisonment and threat of a deadly weapon.
• A 29-year-old male was arrested at 1:49 p.m. on the 1500 block of Stoneridge Mall Road on charges of vehicular burglary, possession of stolen property and burglary tools, and parole violations. He is at the Santa Rita Jail in Dublin with no bail and a Dec. 20 court date.

Monday, Dec. 12

• A 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery on the 6800 block of Santa Rita Road at 1 a.m.
• Two men and a 38-year-old woman were arrested on the 5900 block of Pleasant Hill Road at 5:24 a.m. on charges of possessing stolen property. One male suspect, 41, also faces controlled-substance and burglary-tool possession charges and is jailed with $60,000 bail. The second man, 40, also charged with allegedly possessing burglary tools, was released after posting $25,000 bail. Court dates are pending.   

Tuesday, Dec. 13

• Theft was called in at 1 a.m. from the 7600 block of Maywood Drive.
• Vehicular burglary was reported on the 5600 block of Owens Drive at 4:25 a.m.
• Burglary was reported on the 5500 block of Springhouse Drive at 7:48 a.m.
• A missing-person report was filed on the 3800 block of Antonini Way at 5:30 p.m.

Wednesday, Dec. 14

• A 49-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication on the 6400 block of Owens Drive at 1:53 a.m.
• Car break-ins were reported at 6:46 a.m. on the 4400 block of Sutter Gate Avenue and at 8:09 a.m. on the 2400 block of Skylark Way.
• Three juveniles were arrested at 11:55 a.m. on suspicion of possession and intent to sell marijuana and controlled substances at Amador Valley High School. 
• A delivery business reported more that $2,000 of electronics gear stolen from the 6600 block of Owens Drive at 12 noon.
• Burglary was reported on the 4600 block of Chabot Drive at 9:58 p.m.

Thursday, Dec. 15

• Theft was reported on the 2700 block of Laramie Gate Circle at 11:57 a.m.
• Four vandalism reports filed: on the 400 block of Division Street at 1:08 a.m.; on the 900 block of Sycamore Road at 1:03 p.m.; on the 300 block of Happy Valley Road at 1:05 p.m.; and at 3:39 p.m. on the 4400 block of Willow Road.
• A 56-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of burglary and vehicular burglary on the 4500 block of Rosewood Drive at 4:49 p.m. The suspect is jailed with $50,000 bail and a Dec. 19 arraignment.
• Vehicular burglary was reported at 8:09 p.m. on the 300 block of Main Street.

Friday, Dec. 16

• A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence at 12:47 a.m. at the intersection of Foothill Road and Bernal Avenue.
• A 23-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication at 1:46 a.m. on the corner of Santa Rita Road and Sutter Gate Avenue.
• Three separate thefts recorded in a little over an hour: at the Pleasanton BART Station at 8:42 a.m.; on the 1300 block of Stoneridge Mall Road at 9:48 a.m.; and at 9:55 a.m. on the 5900 block of Stoneridge Mall Road.
• Vandalism was reported on the 700 block of Bonita Avenue at 10:15 a.m.
• A 51-year-old man was arrested for suspected DUI at 11:33 p.m. at the corner of Hopyard Road and West Las Positas Boulevard.

Saturday, Dec. 17

• Theft was reported at 11:30 a.m. from the 20 block of Tehan Canyon Road.
• A green '98 Honda Civic was reported stolen at 4:25 p.m. from the 5500 block of Springdale Avenue.
• Felony vandalism was reported on the 1000 block of Stoneridge Mall Road at 5:05 p.m.
• Stolen vehicle was recovered at 5 p.m. on the 4200 block of Diavila Avenue.
• An individual was arrested for alleged public intoxication at 9:49 p.m. on the 100 block of Neal Street.
• Missing-person report was made at 11 p.m. on the 1700 block of Magnolia Circle.
