Police Log: Dolled-Up Car Burglar At-Large, Plus BB Gun Mishap and Pot Day
Notable incidents encountered April 15 to 21.
While a and the of two juvenile suspects made headlines last week, the Pleasanton Police Department also juggled scads of other incidents — including National Pot Day, report of gunfire, and a car break-in that netted someone a boatload of beauty items.
In Pleasanton, burglars who break into locked automobiles typically score laptops, cell phones and wallets. But one last week may have a more glamorous future and/or mugshot ahead.
A vehicular burglary reported Thursday afternoon on Division Street resulted in a reported loss of $125 of miscellaneous items, plus a black and pink Mary Kay cosmetics case stocked with $250 of samples.

Pleasanton's municipal code 10.12.010 prohibits discharging a firearm within city limits. And that includes BB guns, as one man learned last week.
An unidentified individual was cited for reportedly firing a BB gun at a fence Thursday around 1 p.m. on a residential street, according to police. No additional details were available.

And in other crime news, the urban-legendary "Weed Day," referred to as 4/20 in the cannibis culture, came and went without any citations or arrests noted on police logs.
But the buzzkill may have preceded April 20, as there were some marijuana-related busts recorded by police April 18 and 19.
