Police Log: Car Lost, Car Found and Lots of Pre-Christmas Sticky Fingers

Thefts aplenty and other notable incidents encountered by the police Dec. 5 to Dec. 10.

The Pleasanton Police Department was hopping this week, taking theft and burglary calls from all points of town. On the upside, someone was reunited with their '94 Honda Accord.  

Monday, Dec. 5

  • A 27-year-old man was arrested at 12:24 a.m. on the 4300 block of Second Street on suspicion of public intoxication.
  • A missing-person report was made at 12:49 p.m. on the 1700 block of Santa Rita Road.

Tuesday, Dec. 6

  • Computer equipment, valued at $2,000, was reported stolen at 8:25 a.m. from a senior-living complex on the 3400 block of Cornerstone Court.
  • A green 1996 Acura Integra was reported stolen at 9:15 a.m. from an apartment complex on the 5600 block of Owens Drive.
  • A previously reported stolen 1994 Honda Accord was recovered at 11:06 a.m. on the 7700 block of Canyon Meadows Circle.
  • At 1:54 p.m., a 23-year-old man was arrested for allegedly carrying in his car a concealed weapon.
  • Residential burglary was reported on the 1100 block of Blanc Court at 3:04 p.m. The front door was allegedly smashed.
  • A 43-year-old woman was cited for theft at 5:04 p.m. on the 1300 block of Stoneridge Mall Road.
  • A 58-year-old man was arrested for suspicion of theft and possessing a controlled substance at 5:19 p.m. on the 6600 block of Koll Center Parkway. 
  • A 30-year-old male was arrested at 6 p.m. on the 4500 block of Pleasanton Avenue for suspicion of public intoxication.
  • Felony domestic violence was reported at 11:14 p.m. from the 2100 block of Eilene Drive.
  • Domestic violence was reported at 11:35 p.m. on the 3800 block of Vineyard Avenue. A 28-year-old female was arrested and booked on the charges.

Wednesday, Dec. 7

  • A 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication at 12:36 a.m. on the 5800 block of Valley Avenue.
  • An individual was arrested on the 4400 block of Tosca Court at 4:30 p.m. for purported theft and fraudulent use of bank cards.

Thursday, Dec. 8

  • Three separate car break-ins were reported between 1 p.m. and 3:15 p.m. on the 1000, 1500 and 3000 blocks of Stoneridge Mall Road.
  • A drunk and disorderly conduct arrest was made at 3:23 p.m. on the 5100 block of Monaco Drive.

Friday, Dec. 9

  • Four theft reports were made: 8:21 a.m. on the 1400 block of Stoneridge Mall Road; 12:33 p.m. on the 1100 block of Santa Rita Road; and two from the 4500 block of Rosewood Drive at 11:41 a.m. and 10:15 p.m., respectively.
  • Identity theft was reported at 9:13 a.m. on the 2100 block of Pomezia Court.
  • A motorist was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at 7:59 p.m. on Via Di Salerno and Vantini Way.
  • A DUI arrest was made at 1:49 a.m. at the intersection of Santa Rita Road and Stoneridge Drive.
  • Burglary was reported on the 3400 block of Nevada Court at 11:16 a.m.

Saturday, Dec. 10

  • Theft was reported at 10:34 a.m. on the 1800 block of Harvest Road.
  • Identity theft was reported on the 3800 block of Pinot Court at 10:45 a.m.
  • A motorist was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence at 1 p.m. at the intersection of Black Avenue and Hopyard Road.  
  • Two incidents of vehicular burgary were reported on the 1000 block of Stoneridge Mall Road at 5:44 p.m. and 5:54 p.m., respectively.
