Police and Fire Log: June 7 to June 13

A list of notable incidents from the police and fire logs.

Reported crimes last week included theft from several stores at Stoneridge Mall and a few incidents of vandalism.  Police also arrested an arson suspect last week.

June 7

  • A 24-year-old man, 20-year-old man and 21-year-old woman were arrested at 1:31 a.m. for possession of burglary materials.
  • A man was arrested at 8:54 a.m. for public disturbance.
  • Vandalism was reported at 9:53 a.m. on the 5000 block of Case Ave. Damaged property included ceramic ceiling tiles.
  • Shoplifting was reported at 11:33 a.m. on the 2300 block of Stoneridge Mall Road at Victoria's Secret. Stolen items included perfume bottles.
  • A 50-year-old woman was arrested at 9:31 p.m. for petty theft.

June 8

  • A structure fire was reported on the 400 block of East Angela Street. All residents were able to get out. A 28-year-old man was arrested at 7:50 a.m. for arson.  See full story here.
  • Vehicular burglary was reported at 9:14 a.m. on Sanderling Drive.
  • A traffic collision was reported at 9:15 a.m. on Sunol Boulevard and Riddell Street  near the I-680 northbound. Two vehicles were involved, one female riding a black Toyota Celica sustained a head injury.
  • Vehicular burglary was reported at 9:18 a.m. on the 2800 block of Gray Fox Court.
  • Bicycle theft was reported at 9:28 a.m. on the 4500 block of Gatetree Circle.

June 9

  • A 36-year-old woman was arrested at 5:33 a.m. for trespassing.
  • A residential burglary was reported at 8:57 a.m. on the 400 block of Hamilton Way. Stolen items included a computer and computer equipment.
  • A traffic collision was reported at 09:04 a.m. involving a Toyota Sports Utility Vehicle and a tree on Valley Avenue and Santa Rita Boulevard.
  • A traffic collision was reported at 12:14 p.m. on Stoneridge Drive and Hopyard Road involving two vehicles.
  • An 18-year-old man was arrested at 1:06 p.m. for battery.
  • A bush fire was reported at 3:34 p.m. on the 4700 block of Chabot Drive.
  • A traffic collision was reported on the eastbound I-580 and Hacienda Drive involving two vehicles. One person sustained a head injury.

June 10

  • A structure fire was reported at 9:33 a.m. on the 7600 block of Olive Drive. There seemed to be smoke coming out of the pool pump.
  • Theft was reported at 9:39 a.m. on the 1600 block of Stoneridge Mall Road.
  • A 52-year-old man was arrested at 9:49 a.m. for public intoxication.
  • A structure fire was reported on the 7400 block of Linwood Court at 12:34 p.m. There was smoke seen but no flames.
  • Theft was reported at 2:25 p.m. on the 1200 block of Quarry Lane at ESS Data Recovery.
  • A traffic collision was reported on Hopyard Road and Valley Trails Drive
  • Theft was reported at 4:34 p.m. on the 400 block of Old Bernal Avenue at Pleasanton Public Library.
  • A traffic collision was reported on northbound I-680 and Stoneridge Drive involving two vehicles on the offramp.

June 11

  • The fire department responded to a medical emergency call at Hart Middle School at 9:57 p.m. after a juvenile was reportedly hit in the head with a backpack. The juvenile experienced dizziness and nausea.
  • A 48-year-old woman was arrested at 7 p.m. for possession of paraphernalia and a controlled substance.
  • Vehicular burglary was reported at 9:43 a.m. on the 5600 block of Owens Drive. Stolen items included electronics.
  • Fraud was reported at 11:16 a.m. on the 3300 block of Morgan Court.
  • Vandalism was reported at 12:01 p.m. at the intersection of Sunol Boulevard and Valley Avenue.
  • A mulch fire was reported on the 4500 block of Rosewood Drive at 1:39 p.m. A citizen was found trying to stomp out the fire. 
  • A fire was reported on the 3800 block of Vineyard Avenue at 5:27 p.m. Trees and grass by the creek seemed to be on fire, lots of smoke was reported.
  • A fire was reported on the 1200 block of Concord Street at 6:18 p.m. The fire reportedly started from the dryer.
  • A vehicle fire was reported on Hacienda Drive and Owens Drive at 7:13 p.m. The fire started with trees and involved a vehicle.

June 12

  • A vehicle fire was reported on southbound I-680 and Sunol Boulevard at 8:18 a.m.
  • Vandalism was reported at 8:11 a.m. on the 800 block of Piemonte Drive.
  • Vandalism was reported at 9:17 a.m. on the 4400 block of Valley Avenue.
  • A traffic collision was reported on Peters Avenue and St. Mary Street at 9:46 a.m. One person may have sustained a possible concussion.
  • A traffic collision was reported on Santa Rita Road and Valley Avenue at 3:57 p.m. involving two vehicles. One person sustained back injuries.
  • A vehicle fire was reported on southbound I-680 at 3:16 p.m.
  • A traffic collision was reported on westbound I-580 and Hopyard Road at 5:54 p.m. involving three vehicles
  • A traffic collision was reported on Dublin Canyon Road and Foothill Road at 10:19 p.m. involving a vehicle and a light pole.
  • Vehicular burglary was reported at 10:15 p.m. on the 3400 block of Andrews Drive.
  • A 21-year-old man was arrested for parole violations at 11:53 p.m.

June 13

  • Public intoxication was reported at 1:09 a.m. on the 4300 block of Valley Avenue.
  • A 43-year-old man was arrested at 1:23 a.m. for public intoxication.
  • Lewd conduct was reported at 9:53 a.m. on the 4700 block of Muirwood Drive.
  • A traffic collision was reported on eastbound I-580 and northbound I-680 at 11:17 p.m.
  • A miscellaneous fire was reported on Ridgewood Road and Black Avenue at 2:23 p.m., a transformer reportedly blew up and was on fire.
  • Vehicular burglary was reported at 5:18 p.m. on the 1300 block of Stoneridge Mall Road.
  • Armed robbery was reported at 10:45 p.m. at the intersection of Foothill Road and Deodor Way. See full story here.
