Theft, 200 block of Abbie Street
Pleasanton Police Department served a search warrant at a residence on Paseo San Leon. Phillip Suk, 26, was arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen property and 15 counts of identity theft. Police believe Suk was involved in a reshipping fraud scheme. The scheme involves hiring people through online job sites. The "hired employee" is recruited to ship items that, unbeknownst to them, were purchased with stolen credit card information. The "hired employee" reships the items, usually to a location outside of the country, and is promised a small fee.
