Police Looking for Truck Involved in Hit-and-Run Collision

Two of the drivers involved in the collision were seriously injured, according to police. Police are asking for witnesses to come forward.

Information provided by Livermore Police—

On January 6, 2014, at 6:24 a.m., the Livermore Police Department responded to an injury collision on State Route 84 (Vallecitos Road) just north of the main entrance to Ruby Hills. 
 
A vehicle similar to a dark colored Toyota Tacoma pick-up collided with a black Honda Civic on northbound Vallecitos Road just north of Ruby Hills. 
 
The right front bumper of the pick-up sideswiped the left rear of the Honda causing the driver of the Honda to lose control. The Honda slid sideways into oncoming traffic. A Jeep traveling in the southbound direction of Vallecitos Road struck the passenger side of the Honda causing serious injuries to both drivers. 
 
The driver of the pick-up did not stop and continued northbound on Isabel Avenue. 
 
The Livermore Police Department is seeking the community’s assistance in locating the driver of the pick-up truck and any possible witnesses to the collision. If anyone has information about this case, they are encouraged to call Officer Traci Rebiejo at (925) 580-9665.
