Residential Burglary Suspect Arrested

Witness called police as the crime was taking place.

Police arrested an 18-year-old Pleasanton man on suspicion of burglary Tuesday morning after a woman saw him standing in front of her neighbor's house across the street in broad daylight looking suspicious.

According to police, a woman called police from the 800 block of Concord Street around 9 a.m. and reported the man standing there. As she was on the phone, the man, later identified as Brodie Lewis, allegedly jumped the fence leading to her neighbor's backyard.

Officers arrived within two minutes of receiving the call, according to police, and searched the yard. The man jumped the back fence and started running toward Sirah Court.
