Several roads in downtown Pleasanton will be closed for the Rotary's annual Father's Day Spirit Run on Sunday.

According to the Rotary Club of Pleasanton, the 10K Race will start at 8:00 a.m., with the 5K Run and Walk beginning at 8:20 a.m. The Kids’ Challenge events will begin around 9:30 a.m. Check-in and race-day registration opens at 6:30 a.m.

Pleasanton Police say the streets effected by the event will be:

  • Main Street (between Rose Avenue and Del Valle)
  • Del Valle
  • St. Mary/Division
  • Valley Avenue (one lane between Via de los Milagros and Gate 12)
  • Rose Avenue (one lane between Fair Street and Main Street)
The roadway closures will begin about 6:30 a.m. and all roadways will be open by 11:00 a.m.

Sergeant Penelope Tamm said, "The roadways or lanes will be opened as soon as we can, once the participants of the run have cleared those streets, so exact amount of time each roadway will be impacted varies."
