Road Closures for Fourth of July Fireworks at the Alameda County Fairgrounds

Pleasanton Police officials have provided a list of road closures scheduled for the fourth of July fireworks at the Alameda County fairgrounds in Pleasanton.

Road/Lane Closures: 

1.      Left turn lane for W/B Koll Center Pkway to S/B Koll Center Dr

2.      Right turn lane for E/B Koll Center Pkway to S/B Koll Center Dr

3.      S/B Koll Center Dr from Koll Center Pkway

4.      Left turn lane from E/B Bernal Ave onto N/B Koll Center Pkway

5.      Ingress and egress of the Safeway parking lot from the Bernal entrance/exit (To be determined if it is a right turn only to exit the Safeway parking lot)

6.      Left turn lanes from E/B Bernal onto N/B Valley

7.      N/B Valley Ave between Bernal Ave and Gate 8 This may be altered if it is determined that Gate 8 traffic exits out onto the N/B side of the roadway…..To also be determined if traffic exiting Gate 8 will be allowed to turn right onto N/B Valley….Both issues to be discussed with ACSO

8.      Left turn lanes from N/B Valley Ave onto W/B Bernal Ave

9.      Straight through lane from N/B Valley onto N/B Bernal

10.  Left turn lane of E/B Koll Center Pkway (S) onto N/B Bernal

11.  Closure of opening of median on Bernal at Gate 4

12.  W/B Bernal Ave beginning at Pleasanton Ave.

13.  Closure of #1 lane of E/B Bernal Ave just west of Gate 6 and running for 50’ east of Gate 6 to allow free access to the lane for vehicles exiting Gate 6

14.  Closure of #1 lane of E/B Bernal Ave just west of Gate 5 and running 50’ east of Gate 5 to allow free access to the lane for vehicles exiting Gate 5

Traffic Routes:

Gates 12 and 8 will exit out onto S/B Valley Ave (still to be decided if vehicles exiting Gate 8 will be allowed to turn right onto N/B Valley)

These drivers will be directed to turn right onto W/B Bernal Ave to access the freeway (option to be determined: Gate 12 exits out onto S/B Valley and Gate 8 exits out and travels S/B on the N/B Valley side of the roadway to alleviate a merge of the traffic from both gates)

Gates 6, 5 and Pleasanton Ave will exit out onto Bernal Ave and turn left onto E/B Bernal Ave

These drivers will be directed to S/B Sunol Blvd where they will access the freeway.  Message boards will be placed to direct traffic to Sunol Blvd and then to the freeway

1.      Bernal Ave @ Gate 6 on south shoulder facing Gate 6

2.      Bernal Ave @ Gate 5 on south shoulder facing Gate 5

3.      Bernal Ave @ Pleasanton Ave on raised median east of intersection facing W/B

4.      Bernal Ave @ Sunol Blvd. facing W/B

5.      Sunol Blvd @ Senior Center in W/B bus stop facing E/B

6.      Sunol Blvd @ Diamond Ct. in W/B bus stop facing E/B
