UPDATE: Man Robs Bank of America Branch in Pleasanton

Police say the suspect was was seen entering a brown El Camino with a white camper shell.

The is searching for a robbery suspect who targeted a Bank of America branch on Tuesday.

At about 1:35 P.M. today, the Pleasanton Police Department received a report that the Bank of America located at 6005 Stoneridge Drive had just been robbed. Responding patrol units quickly arrived and established a perimeter however the suspect fled prior to their arrival.

Further investigation revealed that the suspect entered the bank and handed a teller a threatening note. (For investigative purposes, the details of the note are not being released at this time.) After receiving an undisclosed sum the suspect left the bank.

Further investigation revealed that the suspect fled in a vehicle.

The suspect, described as an African-American man wearing a dark blue and white hoodie and dark dress pants, was seen running from the Bank of America at 6005 Stoneridge Drive near Hopyard Road.

Police say the suspect got into a brown El Camino with a white camper shell. The vehicle was last seen on Johnson Drive.

No weapon was seen and nobody was injured during this incident. Neighboring law enforcement agencies were advised regarding the suspect and vehicle descriptions.
