Vegetation Fire Sunday Threatened Duplex

The fire was allegedly started by two juveniles

A vegetation fire on Sunday threatened some duplex units located at 1026 Hometown Way, Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department Battalion Chief Jeff Peters said.

According to the Pulsepoint smartphone application, the fire was initially dispatched as a structure fire at about 12:41 p.m.

Peters confirmed that no structures were damaged during the fire and that firefighters were able to contain it as a small vegetation fire.

Peters wrote:

"The potential was there for growth, which is why the structure response was requested. Ultimately, it [the fire] was handled by a single engine company and a Battalion Chief. There was some minor damage to foliage in the backyards. It was started by two juveniles, who were subsequently apprehended by PPD."
