Planning Meeting about Shadow Cliffs in Pleasanton

The East Bay Regional Park District (EBRPD) will be hosting a public meeting on Wednesday, February 23 from 7-9 p.m. at the Veterans’ Building, 301 Main Street, Pleasanton to review proposed changes to Shadow Cliffs Regional Recreation Area. 

Park District planners have been reviewing several acres previously reserved for an expansion of the water slide project, which was abandoned by the concessionaire in 2008.

The proposed amendment for use of this land includes establishing a more natural and park-like landscape. 

The plan also makes recommendations to address environmental and recreational improvements and operational issues in other areas of the park.

The Park District’s new Mobile Visitor Center will be at the meeting beginning at 6:30, with activities led by Park Naturalists. Kids are welcome.
