From the City of Pleasanton:

The dedication of the Fire Station One Memorial Garden will be hosted by the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department (LPFD) and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6298 on Saturday, March 30, 2013. The event, which is open to the public, will be held at the garden, located on the grounds of Fire Station Number One at 3560 Nevada Street in Pleasanton, beginning at 11:00 a.m.

The garden will be dedicated to U.S. Army Specialist Jameson Lindskog, a military medic and Pleasanton resident who was killed in Afghanistan in 2011. The site was selected by SPC Lindskog’s family to recognize the connection between his role as a combat medic and the fire department’s responsibility to provide emergency medical assistance to the community. SPC Lindskog also grew up within one mile of Fire Station One.
