Hometown Holiday Parade Road Closures

The annual parade and tree lighting will kick off on Saturday, December 1

Pleasanton's annual holiday mainstay is back, marking the official beginning of holiday season. Patch has the information you need to get you to the parade route so you can see the holiday magic as it moves down Main Street.

The City of Pleasanton will close Main Street  to vehicular traffic at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 1.

According to Pleasanton Police Sergeant Bob Leong, the parade participants will gather at Amador Valley High School.

Leong wrote:

"The southbound portion of the roadway will be closed to Stanley Boulevard. We will divide the northbound lanes into two. From the north driveway of Amador Valley High School, the southbound traffic will continue in the number one northbound lane. Traffic will then be diverted onto Stanley Boulevard since Main Street will be closed. Northbound traffic will travel in the number two northbound lane from Stanley and resume using both lanes after the North driveway of the high school parking lot.  Main Street is closed to Angela Street."

The parade starts at 5:00 p.m. and moves down Main Street in downtown Pleasanton.

In the event of rain, a parade cancellation telephone hotline will be implemented and updated each hour after 2:30 p.m. on parade day, Dec. 1. The Cancellation Information Phone Line is (925) 931-5352.
