November Election Update: No Candidates Officially On The Ballot Yet

With a five days to go before the filing deadline, no candidates for council or school board have turned in their papers yet

The November ballot is still officially pretty empty in Pleasanton.

With five days left to file, no candidates have turned in their papers yet in either the City Council or the school board election.

So far, four candidates have taken out forms from the Alameda County Elections Department in the race for three seats on the Pleasanton school board.

The potential candidates are incumbents Valerie Arkin, Chris Grant and Jamie Yee Hintzke as well as challenger Sean Kullman.

There are two seats open in the City Council race.

The City Clerk's office reports no candidates have turned in their papers yet. They have until Friday to file them to get on the Nov. 6 ballot.

Former BART board member Erlene DeMarcus has publically announced she will run for council.
