The only people I will be following in this debate will be the late commuters who may find that traffic is snarled along the detour routes provided since they will be closing I-25 between Santa Fe Drive and Hampden Avenue tonight.
As for the folks at "Duh! University" out there on Evans Avenue and University Boulevard, I think who shows up in the audience would be more exciting than the folks behind the podiums. I will not be watching this on TV or following it on the radio being that these debates have been devolving into nothing more than extended commercials for both the candidates and the political parties that have the choke-hold on political power in these United States. Unless they have other party candidates up there to discuss their issues, parties and platforms, the ones held between the Republican Party Candidate and the "Democratic" Party Candidate are useless and meaningless. Just like the Political Party Conventions that the parties with the stranglehold on American Politicial Thought and Culture have when they need to nominate their candidate, these debates are nothing more than "preaching to the converted". The commercials, if there are any, may be more entertaining as well as who they throw out of the audience at times. All of this is just a sham when you get right down to it. "Political Theatre" to placate the masses and entertain them more than inform them.

Both candidates are a mess. This is so sad. As a moderate republican, Mitt Romney has nothing to offer me and Obama, though he's tried, has failed miserably. Out with them all and I'm already looking to 2016.

It's still six hours before the debate but this just in from NBC News... Obama was the clear winner. We can expect a big bounce in the polls tomorrow for Obama. Chris Matthews reports another thrill running up his leg. Obama was brilliant; had Romney off his game all night.

I wonder why the moderator will not have the courage to ask why this guy speaks for our country. I invite ANY Obama supporter to explain the unexplainable:

All I know is Romney is anti-blue collar, anti-union and anti-middle class. He wants to take power away from the unions by having a national Right to Work "For Less" law. The unions are the only organizations that truly stand up for workers rights, wages and dignity. Blue collar workers have already seen their wages frozen or gone down in the last ten years. This is primarily due to big corporations greed, which Romney supports. Do some research on Romney and his billionaire friends. Also look past business ventures where he bled companies dry and thousands of workers lost their jobs due to his greed.
Fred Eiger October 3, 2012 at 10:17 pm
Seems you don't know much Robert Magee. What do you have against "Right to Work"? Give some examples of complanies that Romney "bled dry". And please don't use that dummy from the steel plant and his wfe.
Robert Magee October 3, 2012 at 10:37 pm
Right to Work means that not everyone in the same shop or office has to be union if it is a union shop. In states like Florida, where it is Right to Work, the average salary is 25% less than non Right to Work states like California. Where you have a mixture of union and non union workers doing the same job at the same employer, you have less unity which means less pay, less benefits and worse working conditions. Right to Work states also seem to have less worker rights laws. California is not a Right to Work state and has some of the best labor laws in the country due to the unions hard work to get laws passed to protect workers.
I am not at home right now. I have several examples of companies the Romney was involved in that resulted in lost jobs.

' California is not a Right to Work state and has some of the best labor laws in the country due to the unions hard work to get laws passed to protect workers. '
You're really going to hold our state up as a shining example of how business should manage labor? Maybe you haven't heard, but businesses are leaving in droves. The wake of this exodus is the high unemployment rate in calif. Exactly who benefits from these drain on our economy?
Fred Eiger October 4, 2012 at 12:21 am
Really Robert? Then please explain why Right-to-Work states have lower taxes, lower costs of living, bigger homes at a lower price than this "Workers Paradise" of California? Nevada is "Right-to-Work" yet many of our former neighbors moved there recently.

the public unions like to bleed taxpayers dry and leave cities with no option but bankruptcy.....obama talks only about union jobs...obama never ran a business so he wouldnt know how to run one and how to get economy running to help businesses.
if you keep pushing public union jargon then your for bankrupting the country

Tim October 4, 2012 at 06:24 pm
Sort of like Obama last night, eh Frank?
Frank Mockery October 4, 2012 at 06:24 pm
The federal government takes taxes from the Blue States & gives it to the Red States,so through this redistribution of wealth the more progressive states are subsidizing the backward ones ! I say make these inbred,Bible thumping mouth-breathers pay their own fair share,Californians should receive as much from the federal government as they contribute !!!
Tim October 4, 2012 at 06:28 pm
Really Frank? then why pay anything? CA taxpayers shouldn't have to support the military I guess.
Voter with an ID October 4, 2012 at 06:31 pm
Apparently, Frank doesn't subscribe to our dear leaders idea of income or tax redistribution. What's wrong Frank; don't you think rich Calif should pay it's 'fair share'? Obama is just trying to level the playing field and make things fair for everyone. What are you, some kind of selfish racist disagreeing with our dear leader's beliefs?
