Tri-Valley Food Pantries Celebrate Opening of New Food Storage Units

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on Wednesday at the City of Pleasanton Operation Services Center.

Twenty-five people attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony yesterday held at the City of Pleasanton Operation Services Center to unveil a new refrigeration/storage unit.

The City of Pleasanton provided a secure and centrally located site for the new refrigeration/storage unit that emerged as a collaboration of corporate, government, and local non-profit agencies.

Tri-Valley food pantries will now have enough refrigeration and freezer
storage to accommodate the more than 1,000 turkeys that are donated for the region’s hungry this holiday season thanks to the new refrigerators.
