Martial Arts Blogger Discusses the Perils of Not Wearing a Seatbelt in the Wake of His Cousin's Death

I made a promise yesterday, actually more of a vow, and, as I am a man of my word, I am here to start my mission for the rest of my life — to become an advocate for seat belts, and to make sure every body is diligent about wearing them.

It almost seems redundant to even be talking about this, we ALL wear our seat belts, don’t we? Yes, I know we do, and yet there are those "moments" that we may say, "Oh, I’m just going up the street" or through a parking lot. I am here to implore you to not tempt fate.

We laid our beautiful little cousin to rest this weekend, a bright and talented 22-year- old, who ALWAYS wore her seat belt. She had talks with her dad about the dangers, and yet still lost her life not wearing her seat belt, for whatever reason, we will never know.
