Frank Castro, the Director of Nutrition Services, says they are excited to offer "Meatless Mondays" this year for K-5 schools and that salad bars are being reintroduced to the middle schools.

"Our 'Martian Fries' (whole grain breaded green beans) were such a hit last year that we are following up with baked cross cut sweet potatoes. Also, vegan egg rolls, California roll sushi, hummus, and gluten free pizza will be available to students this year."

According to Castro, the ingredients list will be updated by Monday if you want to know what is in each dish.
