When and why did you move to Pleasanton from Sweden? I came here as an exchange student the 18th of August 2009. I wanted to experience a year abroad.

What are your plans for next year? I will actually have to attend high school again in Sweden since the curriculum is different here than in Sweden. My main goal is to become a photographer, but I might follow in my dad's footsteps and become an architect through KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm.

What has been your most interesting experience in America that you hadn't experienced in Sweden? Just the whole feel of it. There are all these small differences compared to back home. For example, the humongous burgers and cars here. The best thing was to get to meet lots of new people through high school and experience the culture.

What was your favorite high school subject? AP Biology with Mr. Thiel was by far the best class I have ever taken. He is such an excellent teacher and without him I doubt that I would have passed the class!

What are you going to miss most about Pleasanton when you return to Sweden? I will miss the weather a lot! The winter back home is so depressing compared to California.

What was your favorite activity in high school? Being on the Amador varsity football team was amazing. I have never experienced such brotherhood in a team. I might not have been the best player but I was part of the team and that alone was great.
