The 12th annual Bike to School promotion is just around the corner. The promotion is held in conjunction with the Bay Area Bike to Work Day, an effort of 511 Regional Rideshare, Kaiser Permanente, local bicycle coalitions and hundreds of volunteers, working together to encourage individuals to try bicycling to work as a healthy, fun, inexpensive and environmentally-friendly alternative to driving.
On Thursday, May 10, Foothill High School will host an energizer station in the front of school from 7:00 – 8:30 a.m. to welcome participating cyclists with refreshments and bike bags for the first 50 cyclists. In an effort to reduce vehicular traffic along Foothill Road and to raise traffic safety awareness, students are encouraged to try biking to the high school.
