Excitement is Building for PPIE’s “Bon Appetit, Toasts and Tastes of Fall”

Pleasanton Partnerships in Education Foundation is hosting its eighth annual culinary event.

Imagine fifteen different culinary experiences all under one roof, along with fabulous paired wines, live entertainment, and an auction.

(PPIE) will host the eighth annual "Bon Appetit, Toasts and Tastes of Fall" event on October 22 at the CarrAmerica Conference Center.

It starts at 6:30 p.m. and goes until 10 p.m., and tickets are $65 per person.

PPIE has joined a Pleasanton school principal with a local chef and a business sponsor to form fifteen culinary teams. Each team will present their signature dish and will compete for the "Best of the Best" sweet or savory awards judged by food experts.

Dijon Crusted Rack of Lamb, Slow-Cooked Pork in Achiote Chile Sauce, Angus Beef Meatballs with Orange Peel Risotto, Persian Stew with Eggplant and Rice, Hoisin Braised Beef Short Ribs with Sweet Potato Puree, Mini Pulled Pork Sandwiches, Chicken with Gorgonzola Sauce, Baja Ceviche on Fried Wonton with Spicy Avocado Emulsion, Smoked Salmon, Spiced Butternut Squash-Apple Soup with Parmesan Crisp, and Crispy Pork with Pickled Winter Squash & Apple Butter.

And don't forget dessert:

Pumpkin Cranberry Orange Bread, Puff Pastry Almond Paste Apple with Salted Caramel, Tahini Chocolate Tart with toasted Sesame Seed Florantine Topping, and Chocolate Cake Balls.

Proceeds support PPIE’s Giving Fund to protect cut programs as well as the PPIE Grant Program for students and faculty.
