Pleasanton's Brandon Crawford Presents Vintage Elementary School With $5,000 Grant

Vintage Hills was one of 25 schools to win the annual grant

San Francisco Giants shortstop, Brandon Crawford and Wells Fargo presented checks to recipients of the Step Up to the Plate for Education grants program funded by Wells Fargo.

Through an open community nomination process, schools applied to receive grants. On Dec. 11, $100,000 in grants were awarded to 25 Bay Area schools to support athletics and education programs.

World Series champion Brandon Crawford congratulated the winners and took photographs with them. Wells Fargo invests in communities where its team members and customers live and work. This is one of many programs that Wells Fargo funds to provide resources so that students can succeed academically, and build brighter futures. 

“When kids win in the classroom, communities benefit,” said Michael F. Billeci, president of Wells Fargo’s San Francisco Bay region. “I am glad that we are able to provide $100,000 to schools throughout the Bay Area so that children have additional resources to flourish.”
