A 'Perfect Start' For Pleasanton National At Little League World Series

The team beat Georgetown 12-0 after the first pitch was thrown out by Baseball Hall of Famer Tom Seaver.

The Pleasanton National Little League claimed a big victory last night during their first game of the Little League World Series in Livermore. The team beat out Michigan's Georgetown Little League 12-0, thanks in part to the pitching skills of Evan Wolfe.

Team manager Dave Lander says the boys were extremely excited last night.

"Pitcher Evan Wolfe threw a perfect game," Lander said. "Tom Seaver threw out the first pitch and brought his ball from when he pitched his perfect game when he was 12-years-old, so that was pretty amazing."

No one from Georgetown Little League reached a base during the entire game, according to Lander.

The team plays Arizona at 6 p.m. tonight, according to the game schedule posted on the Little League World Series website.
