Foothill Wins "Battle of Pleasanton"

The Falcon's football team defeats Amador Valley, 21-7, most likely knocking the Dons out of the playoffs

Foothill High most likely ended Amador Valley High's football playoff hopes Thursday night.

The Falcons finished strong to defeat the Dons, 21-7.

It was Amador Valley's third straight defeat. They finish the regular season with a 4-6 overall record and a 2-5 record in league play.

The defeat probably means Amador Valley will not be selected for the Division I playoffs.

Foothill ends its season with a 4-6 record overall and 3-4 record in league play. The Falcons were knocked out of playoff contention last week when they lost to Monte Vista High. It's the first time since 1991 they will not be in the post-season.

The game was a tight defensive struggle early on.

The two teams played a scoreless first quarter before Foothill scored a second quarter touchdown and walked into the locker room at halftime with a 7-0 lead.

The Dons, however, scored a tying touchdown in the third quarter to make the score, 7-7.

Foothill, however, scored the final two touchdowns of the game to secure the victory in this annual battle for bragging rights in Pleasanton.

This is great to hear! By chance, do you know if the man who helped was Roy Fickin?

So glad you got this resolved. When I saw your plea for help, I put in a call to Public Works andRead More they transferred me to Police/Animal Services. They told me that someone had already been dispatched.

Many thanks to Police/Animal Services. Next order of business is to educate residents not to allowRead More ducks to nest on their property that is not adjacent to natural waterways or canals - it may seem cute, but it's cruel when the mama duck loses babies to cats and storm drains.
