Amador Valley Softball Ranked No. 1 — in the United States!

MaxPreps released its preseason rankings last week and named Amador Valley the No. 1 team in the country.

There isn't a better high school softball team in the county than the one at Amador Valley High.

That's what MaxPreps believes at least, when they released their preseason rankings last week.

The Dons feature one of the best pitchers in the nation, with Johanna Grauer.

Grauer was completely dominate last year. The Arizona State-bound hurler went 26-1, had 15 shutouts, 328 strikeouts, .33 ERA and held opposing hitters to a microscopic .356 batting average.

Amador starts its season against Deer Valley on March 29.

Many thanks to Police/Animal Services. Next order of business is to educate residents not to allowRead More ducks to nest on their property that is not adjacent to natural waterways or canals - it may seem cute, but it's cruel when the mama duck loses babies to cats and storm drains.
