Final score:

Foothill (12-4, 5-1 EBAL) comes into today's game with rival Amador Valley (13-3, 4-2) in sole possession of first place in the East Bay Athletic League standings. The Falcons, led by pitchers Will Anderson and Michael Theofanopolous and shortstop Brandon Defazio, have won eight of their last nine games and will look to put an additional game between themselves and second-place Amador.

The Dons won all three meetings with Foothill in 2009, including a 3-0 win in the first round of the North Coast Section Division I playoffs. Amador has won six of its last seven and has four players — Chris Keck (.477), David Johnson (.455), Michael Lam (.450) and Tony Olquin (.406) — hitting above .400.
