Dublin loses to Miramonte while Foothill comes up short in tough battle with Monte Vista

Here are the scores from the local high school football games Friday evening.

Miramonte 34  Dublin 14

Miramonte High got back on the winning track by defeating Dublin High, 34-14

The Matadors jumped out to a 27-0 lead at the half and held a 34-6 margin in the third quarter before securing the win.

Dublin falls to 5-4 overall and 2-3 in league play.

Miramonte improves to 8-1 overall and 4-1 in league play.

Monte Vista 12  Foothill 7

In a low-scoring battle, Monte Vista High edged Foothill High, 12-7.

The Falcons held a 7-0 lead at the half, but Monte Vista edged ahead, 12-7, in the third quarter. The Mustangs shut out Foothill in the final quarter to preserve the win.

Monte Vista is now 5-4 overall and 4-2 in league play.

Foothill is now 3-6 overall and 2-4 in league play.

California 42  Amador Valley 28

California High got back on track by defeating Amador Valley High, 42-28

The Dons took an early 7-0 lead in the first quarter, but the Grizzlies struck back taking a 21-14 lead into the locker room at halftime.

California scored 21 unanswered points in the third quarter to take a 41-14 lead before Amador Valley added two late scores.

Cal High improves to 7-2 overall and 4-2 in league play.

Amador Valley falls to 4-5 overall and 2-4 in league play.

San Ramon Valley 35  Livermore 20

San Ramon Valley High positioned itself for the playoffs by defeating Livermore High, 35-20.

The Wolves struck early, taking a 21-6 lead at halftime and then extending their margin to 28-6 in the third quarter.

San Ramon Valley is now 7-2 overall and 5-1 in league play.

Livermore falls to 3-6 overall and 0-6 in league play.

De La Salle 42  Granada 0

De La Salle High continued to cruise toward another league title by crushing Granada High, 42-0.

The Spartans sprinted to a 35-0 lead at halftime and coasted to victory.

Granada falls to 3-6 overall and 1-5 in league play.

De La Salle is now 8-1 overall and 6-0 in league play.
