Play ball! Pleasanton National Little League games began Saturday.

A message from league president Holly Johnson kicked off the Pleasanton National Little League season on Saturday:

Hello PNLL Families,

Opening Day is upon us!  We are excited to get started, no rain in sight, fields are in great shape and the snack bar is stocked and ready for business.

A few reminders as we go into the season:

1. Please have kids stay off the green cabinets at each field.  These are not for climbing on.  Also kids should stay out of the sheds and watch the swinging bats.  Kids should not be playing between fencing and shed backstop areas.

2. Snack bar tickets will be sold tomorrow between 11am and 1pm - come to the snack bar and we'll have a table set up to purchase the tickets. This will be the last time for the season. Also, when coming to the snack bar we appreciate small denominations.

3. Fan apparel will be sold tomorrow from 11am to later in the afternoon.  PNLL tees and hoodies, hats and visors, and fleece blankets for the cool nights at the sports park!  Checks or cash only.

4. Lastly, I want to ask that you don't go up to your coaches right before or after the game - let them run the game, and if you have a question, please email them later.  Please respect the umpires and allow them to call the game - enjoy watching your son!

I found this great article and I'd encourage every parent to read this.

Let's have a great season!
Holly Johnson
